Yep. The DERYAN 1.4" self-inflating mattress is suitable for use from birth because it's been specifically tested for newborns. Its self-inflating design means the mattress fills with air when you open the valve, so you're less likely to over or under-inflate it. The extra 1.4" thickness gives more cushioning than thinner versions, though you should still use it on a firm surface. Parents and caregivers who travel or stay overnight with a baby often will get the most out of this mattress. Just a heads-up: it's meant as a travel mattress, not necessarily a permanent replacement for a full-sized, long-term crib mattress at home.

Open the valve and let the mattress inflate on its own; close the valve once the desired firmness is reached. After use, open the valve, roll the mattress up tightly to squeeze out the air, and close the valve again for storage. This product is designed to function without a pump, so you don’t have to inflate it yourself; manual inflation can cause irreparable bubbles in the mattress. Because it automatically draws in air, it’s especially convenient for travel and quick setups. Always ensure the mattress is placed on a clean, flat surface and check for damage before use. This method is particularly suitable for busy parents and caregivers who want to set up and pack away quickly.

Yep. The 1.4" version is noticeably more comfortable because that extra 0.4" gives you about 40% more thickness compared to the 1.0" version, which means more cushioning and insulation from the ground. This makes the sleeping surface a bit softer and comfier for naps and short sleep sessions while traveling. The self-inflating feature ensures that extra layer fills evenly without a pump. Older babies, toddlers, and parents looking for extra sleep comfort during sleepovers or holidays will benefit the most. Just keep in mind that the thicker version takes up a little more space when rolled up than the 1.0" version, but it's still designed for compact travel.

The mattress is designed to be durable and easy to maintain. DERYAN it as high-quality and tested for use from birth, which indicates a sturdy construction suitable for repeated use. Dirt and stains can be easily removed with a soft cloth and mild soap; rinse and let it dry completely before storing. Roll the mattress neatly and store it in a dry, cool place to minimize material deterioration. Avoid machine washing and sharp objects. Busy families and traveling parents benefit most from this ease of maintenance. With intensive outdoor use, wear and tear may occur over time, so check regularly for damage.

Yes, this mattress is super handy for travel because it self-inflates and doesn't need a pump, so you can quickly set up a sleeping spot without any extra gear. After use, just roll it up tightly to get the air out and close the valve; this way, it takes up hardly any space in your luggage. The extra 1.4" thickness provides more comfort during trips without adding much bulk, making it perfect for travel cots, guest beds, and camping. Traveling parents and families with limited luggage space will find this most beneficial. Just note that the 1.4" version takes up a little more room than the 1.0" version, and make sure to protect it from sharp objects when transporting.
