Yes. This DERYAN Balance Board Felt is designed as an extra protective layer and is 31.5" long, making it suitable for balance boards of a similar length. The felt creates a soft interlayer between the board and the floor to reduce direct friction. The material (felt) is flexible and conforms to the shape of wooden boards, allowing for easy placement under the board. This makes it especially suitable for parents and caregivers who want to protect wooden or laminate floors at home or in an apartment. Please note that it's not suitable for boards significantly longer than 31.5"; for heavier or unusually shaped boards, a different size or attachment method might be needed.

Yes. Felt acts as a cushioning layer: the fiber structure absorbs small shocks and distributes point loads, reducing scratches on wooden or tile floors. In addition, the material dampens vibrations and contact noise, making indoor use quieter when moving on the board. These properties are measurable in the sense that felt prevents direct hard friction between wood and floor and distributes mechanical vibrations over a larger surface area. The product is therefore particularly useful for families who train or play indoors on hard floors and want to limit noise pollution. Please note that sharp objects or very heavy, point-loaded objects can still cause damage; felt protects against normal wear and tear, not against extreme loads.

The felt is easy to attach by placing it under the balance board; the flexible material stays in place through friction and weight during normal use. For maintenance, simply wipe regularly with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dust and loose particles. For stubborn stains, you can use a mild cleaning agent and then let it air dry; aggressive chemicals or hot washing are not recommended as they can damage the fibers. This makes the product suitable for busy households that want an accessible, practical solution. With intensive daily use, check the felt periodically for wear and replace it as soon as the fibers are worn or thin.

No, felt has virtually no effect on the balance of the board, but it can slightly improve grip. Because felt is a thin, flexible layer, it adds little height and does not significantly affect the rocker construction of a wooden board. At the same time, the texture of felt increases the friction between the board and the floor, reducing unwanted slipping and making indoor training feel safer. This is especially relevant for parents who want their children to practice without extra sliding. However, for highly precise balance measurements or professional training, one may choose to use the board without additional layers, as even small changes in the underlayer can cause variations in measurement data.

Yes, the felt is intended as a durable protective layer for daily use, but its lifespan depends on intensity and surface. Felt is wear-resistant against normal foot and board movements and retains its cushioning and protective properties with regular family use. Because it is compact and lightweight, it is also easy to carry or store, which is convenient for households and travel. The greatest user benefits are for parents who regularly do balance exercises or play sessions indoors. Keep in mind that outdoor use, sharp edges, or permanent exposure to moisture will accelerate wear and tear; with intensive use, you should periodically check the product and replace it as soon as the fibers show visible wear.
