Turn Blue Monday into a happy Monday!

Turn Blue Monday into a happy Monday!
Blue Monday is supposedly the most depressing day of the year. But why? It could be due to the dark days, failed good intentions and the thought that the next holiday seems far away. Blue Monday falls on the third Monday in January, often in the middle of a busy period.

The term Blue Monday actually comes from the English term 'feeling blue'. This refers to a gloomy or depressed feeling. The color blue is also generally known as a raw color. It doesn't sound very nice when you summarize it like that.

In addition, it is said that Blue Monday is mainly used for marketing purposes. For example, travel agencies try to generate extra sales on this day by selling trips to the sun. The sellers try to take advantage of the gloomy days and they do so by offering sunny holidays. So don't be too sensitive about this, although a sunny holiday can never hurt!

What's the best way to handle a gloomy day? Keep moving and find some good company. Take a walk in the woods with your family, or ask your friends if they want to go to the beach for a day. Staying active or talking to someone will make you feel so much better. In the end, it's not a bad thing to feel down every now and then. It's just part of life! And don't forget: after rain comes....
