Lose weight, eat less, drink less, or worry less: the list for every start of the year. However, these are all good intentions that you often try to maintain on your own. But isn't it more fun to stick to good intentions together? Stimulation and motivation are very important, and how fun it is to take on a fun challenge together with your child. That's why we're giving you a new dose of inspiration to start your year off right with your child!

Eat healthy together!
It's no secret that a healthy diet has benefits for everyone. It is especially important for children that they get the right nutrients, because they still have to grow!
It is not only important to eat healthy, but also to eat together. We already explained the importance of eating together a few blogs ago. Curious? Then read this blog post here.
- Give compliments
A nice compliment is never a bad thing, right? It's even more fun to share this with your child. You also teach your child a positive and friendly mindset. They also learn to look at their fellow human beings differently by praising something different each time. Of course, it is not always easy for children to come up with compliments themselves, so you can give them a list of examples. And no, that doesn't make the compliment any less sincere!
- Talk to your child
Yes, guilty! We often have a habit of talking to our children, rather than with them. Let your child ask you a question! What would they want from their parents? Have a conversation with your child. Maybe you will discover even faster how alike you are!
- Clean up together
Cleaning is often not the most fun activity for us, let alone for your child. Yet it is important that they get and learn this at a young age. Try to make it a fun time by cleaning up together. As a result, the association with this activity is positive and children are more likely to do it on their own.
- Less screen time
We can't avoid it any longer: screen time! Nowadays, it's already a habit for children to have lessons on a tablet or computer. More and more games are becoming digital, causing children to ask at an increasingly younger age: "Can I have the tablet?"
Agree with yourself (possibly partner) and your child how much screen time is desired per week. That way, your child also knows when he/she can or cannot ask!
- Sea outside
Being outdoors is super healthy, but sadly, many kids are stuck inside. Especially during these strange times, with schools closing all the time and kids being forced to stay indoors, it's important for them to spend some extra time outside.
As a parent, take those extra 10 minutes to go to the playground or walk around the nearest lake. It's healthy for you, but also for your child!
