Check on your baby regularly

In general, you already do it, but it is important not to forget it. If you use a baby monitor at home and you are not currently using it, you should check on your baby every half hour. So you don't forget, I recommend setting a timer every half hour.

Staying with someone else to sleep with your baby doesn't make much difference; it may be a little harder to get your baby to sleep, but once they are asleep, everything is fine. Of course, it's different than at home, but you don't have to worry too much about it.
