Yes, the DERYAN Board Felt is suitable for most indoor floors. The felt forms a soft protective layer that reduces scratches and wear on wood, laminate, tile, and vinyl, and its cushioning properties also help reduce impact noise. Because felt is somewhat flexible, it adapts well to flat surfaces and provides an extra buffer between the board and the floor. This makes it particularly useful for families in apartments or homes with sensitive subfloors. Keep in mind that felt may be less effective on very damp or highly uneven surfaces, and that for intensive outdoor use or heavy loads, a rubber or thicker anti-slip layer may perform better.

Probably, if your balance board is a maximum of 35.5" in diameter or length. The product is 35.5" wide and is designed as an extra protective layer under standard balance boards; the soft felt material lies smoothly under the board, covering the contact surface. This works well for most home-use situations where boards are a similar size. Parents and caregivers who want to create a neat, scratch-free play area will benefit most from this. If your board is larger or irregularly shaped, or if you're looking for a full enclosure, it's smart to measure the exact dimensions first to check if 35.5" offers enough coverage.

The felt is easy to maintain with simple cleaning and air-drying. Remove loose dirt particles with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner, and treat stains with a damp cloth and a mild detergent free of harsh chemicals. Let the felt air dry flat; avoid direct heat or prolonged exposure to sunlight to minimize warping and discoloration. This care routine is practical for busy families who play indoors regularly and want to keep the material looking its best for longer. Professional cleaning may be necessary for stubborn stains; machine washing or spinning is generally not recommended because felt can become matted or lose its shape.

Yes, the felt protects the floor and helps reduce impact noise. Felt acts as a shock-absorbing layer between the wooden balance board and the floor, reducing point loads and scratches while ensuring that the impact of movements is less directly transmitted to the subfloor. In addition, the material dampens much of the impact noise, which is ideal in apartments or rooms where you want to minimize noise disturbance. Families with hardwood floors, laminate, or tile will benefit the most from this. Note that felt does not provide complete sound insulation against very hard or repeated impacts; with intensive use, a thicker cushioning underlay may be more effective.

The felt has a good lifespan under normal indoor use, but this depends on the intensity and conditions. Felt provides durable protection against scratches and light wear during regular home use and, with proper care, can last for several seasons. Factors that shorten its lifespan include excessive sand or grit, outdoor use, and heavy or abrasive loads, as these conditions cause the material to wear out more quickly. For families who use the balance board daily and intensively, regular cleaning and avoiding outdoor use are recommended to extend its lifespan. If you need maximum wear resistance, a heavier protective layer or a different material choice may be considered.
