Preparing the DERYAN Dual-Side Hands-Free Breast Pump

The DERYAN double electric breast pump consists of two compact pumps that can be worn inside a nursing bra. The device has three settings and twelve suction levels per setting. This allows you to choose your settings, but comfortable pumping also starts with the right fit and following the instructions.

Start by preparing

Check which parts come into contact with milk and how they should be cleaned before first use. Assemble everything according to the manual and make sure the connections and seals are secure.

Check that the breast shield is the right size and is positioned correctly in the bra. “Hands-free” means you have more freedom of movement, not that every movement or position is appropriate while using it. Follow the instructions to prevent the breast shield from shifting and to avoid leaks.

Choose a comfortable setting

There are a stimulation mode, a pumping mode, and an automatic mode. Start with a comfortable setting as described in the user manual; the highest suction strength is not a goal in itself. Stop if you experience pain, and have the fit and use assessed if symptoms persist.

The memory function saves the last-used setting and suction level. Be sure to check the settings when you start again. The automatic shut-off after twenty minutes is a device feature, not a personal pumping schedule.

Load and Save Plan

According to the specifications, pumping is not possible while charging. Charge the devices in advance, and when using them outdoors, bring along appropriate, clean storage containers.

For expressed milk, follow the Nutrition Center’s recommendations on storage and thawing. If you have questions about milk production, pain, or a suitable pumping schedule, talk to a lactation consultant or healthcare provider.
