Designing the nursery and living room with Snoozy and Willow
The DERYAN Snoozy and Willow serve different purposes in the home. The Snoozy is a co-sleeper for the first few months; the Willow is a round wooden playpen. By planning these functions separately, you can avoid choosing a product based on its appearance when you don’t have the necessary space.
Measure the spot for the Snoozy
The Snoozy Sand Melange (as tested) measures 69 × 94 × 81 cm. Mark out those external dimensions on the floor next to your bed. Be sure to account for the space you’ll need to get in and out of bed and to set up the co-sleeper properly.
The seven height settings offer various options, but according to the manual, the connection must be correct. Also, make sure that cords, curtains, and loose items remain out of reach.
Give the Willow its own spot
The round Willow measures 92 × 92 × 80.5 cm and comes with a mattress. This model has wheels, making it easier to move. After setting it up, always check its stability and make sure the wheels are locked according to the instructions.
For example, set up the playpen in a quiet spot in the living room where you can keep an eye on your child. Keep doors, walkways, and heaters clear. A round playpen also requires space beyond the visible interior of the playpen.
Choose by function and stage of use
In this setup, a playpen is a place for supervised use while the child is awake; the co-sleeper is intended for sleeping. Be mindful of the developmental limits for both products. Check the limits in the manual for your specific model before continuing to use the playpen for the next developmental stage.
