DERYAN Charlie or Cody: Pay attention to the length range
The DERYAN Charlie and Cody are not intended for the same age range. The Charlie car seats are designed for children between 100 and 150 cm. The certified Cody ISOFIX booster seat (Black) is listed for children between 125 and 150 cm. Therefore, you shouldn’t choose a booster seat just because it’s smaller or lighter.

The Charlie is a car seat with a backrest. The Cody is a booster seat. Check what type of support and seat belt guidance your child needs, and use only the model approved for the specific stage of use.
Reaching a minimum height is one requirement. The seat belt must also fit properly, and your child must be able to maintain the correct posture. Read the manual for any additional requirements.
"Basic" and "Luxe" are different versions
The Charlie Basic specifies installation with a three-point seat belt; the Charlie Luxe specifies ISOFIX. The Cody featured in this article is the ISOFIX version. If you have a different version, please check the specifications again.
ISOFIX does not replace the seat belt for the child when using a seat belt-guided car seat. Always follow the recommended seat belt route and make sure the seat belt is not twisted.
Keep the legal limit separate
In the Netherlands, children shorter than 1.35 meters must, in principle, be transported in an approved child safety seat. See the explanation from the national government. This is a legal requirement and not an automatic recommendation to immediately discard a properly fitting seat.
