Reverse Parking with the Cassie Luxe DERYAN
The Cassie Luxe DERYAN is available for children ranging from 40 to 150 cm. Within that overall range, the product information specifies rear-facing use up to 105 cm. These are two different limits: the seat’s overall range does not mean that forward-facing use is permitted up to 150 cm.
Check the phase in the manual
Find the instructions that correspond to your child's height, age, and weight. Be sure to check the correct seat belt adjustment, any inserts, and the permitted seating position. The general guidelines on the product page are a summary, not a complete installation manual.
The model is designed to rotate 360 degrees. The swivel feature helps with getting in and out of the seat, but does not determine which position is permitted while driving. Before driving, set the seat to a permitted, properly locked driving position.
Check the spot in the car
Compare the installation requirements with your car's owner's manual. Pay attention to all required mounting points and the rules regarding airbags. Do not use homemade adapters or additional parts to compensate for a missing connection.
After securing the seat, also check that the seat and straps are adjusted correctly. Repeat this check if anyone has rotated the seat, moved it, or adjusted it for another child.
Switching Without Rushing
Any subsequent direction of travel or phase of use must comply with all the limits that apply to that phase. For R129 seats, forward-facing travel is not permitted before 15 months of age; see also the explanation of the car seat standard.
Use the available reverse function within the permitted limits, and have any unclear settings checked before you set out.
